Analyze and download

Date selection

From and To are interpreted as calendar dates in the Shopify shop timezone. The range can contain at most 60 calendar dates.

Analyze

Analyze reads the selected range and returns a transient summary: the number of orders, the number of line items, and distinct order-level and line-item custom-field keys. Orders with no line items still count as orders.

Keys are displayed as untrusted text. Ordinary keys appear first, followed by keys that begin with an underscore, alphabetically within each group. The same key can appear in both Order and Item lists because those namespaces remain separate.

Choose and remember custom fields

Review the Order fields and Line-item fields groups. Clear a checkbox to omit that custom-field column, or use Select all for a group. The same key has separate choices in Order and Item. The six standard columns always remain.

Your selection is shared across the shop and saved after the complete CSV reaches your browser and its download starts. The browser cannot confirm that the file was ultimately saved to disk.

Each new Analyze restores the saved shop selection and discards unsaved checkbox changes. Fields that temporarily disappear keep their saved preference. A field with no saved preference defaults to included, even if it is discovered only during Download.

If the download starts but saving your selection fails, use Retry saving selection. This retries the selection used for that download without generating another CSV.

Download CSV

Download exports the included custom-field columns and the six standard columns. Deselecting a field does not remove line-item rows. Download does not reuse the Analyze data. It re-reads Shopify so newly added or changed orders, line items, and attributes are reflected in the file. The controls remain disabled while the complete response is prepared and validated.

Safe failure behavior

If Analyze fails, the attempted result is replaced with an Analysis failed message and Download is unavailable for that failed result. If Download fails, no file is created and the app states that no CSV was downloaded. The last successful Analyze result remains available for Retry. A failed CSV download leaves the saved selection unchanged.

The app never uses partial Bulk Operation data for a merchant export and never delivers a partial CSV as a complete file.
